Newsies: The Musical

Today...I previewed a two songs from the soundtrack of Newsies: The Musical, which were Carrying The Banner and Seize the Day! I was actually surprised to hear that they kept some of the original lyrics, while adding some of their own, which gave the songs a new look on things. Just to let you know if you're going to see the musical, there's no Sarah ( I bet some of you are glad about that!), Jack Kelly has traded in his cowboy hat for a newsboy cap, there's no Denton to save the day...it's actually a female news reporter named Katherine, who is the daughter of Joseph Pulitzer, and she falls in love with Jack Kelly. I think that this musical is going to be totally awesome! I hope to go sometime next month...if I have enough to go. Sadly, Broadway tickets are not cheap! They are truly expensive...one seat costs at least $300 or more. If you do go see the musical, think about all of the people who can't make the trip or don't have the money to go...like myself.
